KINGMAN

Otto Ray Duprey, infant son of Mrs. and Mrs. Robert Duprey of Rt. 1 Kingman, died about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at his parents’ home, apparently from strangulation on milk or suffocation. Fountain County Coroner Ralph Nelson reported Sunday night that the death of the infant still is under investigation. He said Mrs. Duprey put the infant to bed for the night about 9:30 and had given it a bottle. When she checked it about 11:30 she found it was dead. Coroner Nelson said Mrs. Duprey was in a state of shock Sunday and was unable to be questioned. He plans to continue his investigation Monday. The infant was born last April 6 in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill., the son of Robert and Patsy Hensley Duprey. Survivors include the parents; a sister, Cindy Sue, at home; maternal grandfather, Otto Hensley of Rt. 2 Kingman; and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Duprey of Westville, Ill. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Woodrow Funeral Home here with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Interment will be conducted in the Harveysburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
